Cheap ERT Motorcycle Easy Chock Review
I haven't actually used the chock yet, so the following comments are about the assembly and construction. The unit is made from what seems like suitable materials. The frame is 2"x2"x1/8" angle iron, the rest is ¼" stock. The welds seem good and the overall system seems well suited. My main "complaint" is with the finish of the product. All components come with a nice, gloss black paint job. That is with the exception of areas that are hidden from direct spray painting. These areas are uncoated and will eventually rust. That said, the material is substantial, so it should take many years for the metal to corrode to the point of failure. All bolt holes are 3/8" diameter, or slightly larger for using 3/8" hardware to bolt it all together. My issue here is that ¼" hardware is supplied, and in my opinion only half the needed flat washers and no lock washers were supplied. They really should supply 3/8" hardware with two flat washers and a lock washer per bolt. I would also advises that when ordering, you must print a picture of assembled wedge. There were no instructions or diagrams included. Of course, the meeting is simple, but correct installation is not obvious by looking at the parts. Overall I think the device will work well, but details of the coverage included equipment and instruction is disappointing.
